Headshot Session Details

Headshot Session are for one person only.  A headshot session should take about 15-30 minutes.

Once we have booked a date & time for your photo session, we should chat about location. I am an on-location photographer, I do not have a studio.  I use natural environments to create a headshot that is unique to you.  I like backgrounds like brick, concrete, greenery, mountains, urban etc...My backdrops are the natural beauty of Washington State. Different locations look better and have better light at different times of day, so I may have suggestions for you regarding location and times. I do use lighting and natural light photographer, so most of my sessions will take place in the morning or late afternoon. If you see a picture in my galleries that you especially like, just ask me and I can tell you the location and time of day it was taken.

I am located in Sammamish, and I have done sessions all around Sammamish & Issaquah, Seattle, Redmond, Fall City, Mercer Island, Kirkland, Bellevue.... Your favorite location may become mine too.

After your session, I will individually fully edit a few of the best images and proof the other good ones, then put them into an online gallery for you. The gallery will be ready in approximately 7 days, depending on my current schedule. I will notify you of your gallery being ready by email or telephone.  Your personal gallery is password-protected so you can share it with your friends and family but know that your images are secure.  Galleries will be available for viewing for 90 days. You should be placing your order within the active time period. If you require your online gallery time to be extended, it is a $50 reactivation charge.

Headshot Sessions come with 2 fully edited digital images.  You can also order more images or prints.

We can have an in-person or telephone consultation/ ordering session after you have viewed your images or you can send me a list of the images you want to order.

If you have any questions at any time about the session or post-session, please email or call me!

What To Wear

This is the question I am asked the most!

I have a Pinterest Board with ideas and information on Outfits for Portrait Sessions.

A few main things to think about when deciding on your outfits: Keep it simple, less is better. Portraits are better when YOU are the focus, not your clothing. Be comfortable; Wear clothes that reflect you and your style; Pick a few colors that mix well, and keep all the outfits in those colors. You can have prints & solids mixed, as long as the colors go well together. Don't try something new for the first time on the day of the session (try things on a few days prior). If you want to wear white, try to pick material with texture that adds interest. Jewel tones can be gorgeous and usually look better than plain white or black. Fabric with texture is also much better than shiny fabric. Be aware of the material of your clothing, don't wear clothes that wrinkle easily or have a shine to them.

Most of all, LIKE and be COMFORTABLE with what you are wearing!
